The Sacramental Program at Mary Immaculate is parish-based and is run by a Parish Sacramental Team, under the direction of the Parish Priest.

The Program is centred around:

• Jesus
• Eucharist
• Family
• Parish

The parents and children attend sessions together to prepare for the reception of the sacraments, as they are the foremost educators in their child's faith journey.

Parents determine when they believe their child is ready to receive the Sacraments, but the earliest they can receive the Sacraments in our parish is as follows:

• Candidates for Reconciliation will need to be in Year 3 or above.
• Candidates for 1st Holy Communion will need to be in Year 4 or above
• Candidates for Confirmation will need to be in Year 6 or above

The school based Religious Educatioin Curriculum supports and enriches this program of preparation.
