Assessment and Reporting

Ongoing / active and summative assessment of student progress is a feature of a modern learning program. Opportunities to observe this progress and to discuss assessment with the student’s parents are provided on a regular basis.

Students with special needs may have an Individual Plan (IP) and teachers meet with parents on a regular basis.

Student progress is formally reported to parents with mid-year and end of year reports. These reports use an A-E grading criteria, with a ‘C’ grade indicating that the student is achieving the outcome. Parents are partners in the education of their children and are welcome to make appointments to speak with teachers about their child.

Student-Led Conferences are held throughout the year.  Formal Parent/Teacher interviews are scheduled during Term 2. However interviews may be arranged at any time by parents or teachers especially where there is a concern.
