Reading Recovery is an intervention programme for students who find reading and writing challenging after one year at school. It provides intensive individual assistance on a daily basis for these students from a trained Reading Recovery teacher. Lessons are supplementary and additional to classroom teaching.
Reading Recovery gives children a second chance at becoming active and independent learners.
It is a highly successful programme operating in New Zealand (where it was developed), Bermuda, Canada, Europe, Ireland, Spain, United Kingdom and the USA.
